Pink Tribute

Pink Tribute is a non-profit group dedicated to raising funds for breast-cancer-related programs, research and services in Denmark. Through our fundraising activities and with the help of our sponsors, we have raised over 800,000 DKK since our inception in 2003.

All members work on a strictly volunteer basis so that 100% of the money we raise is donated to organizations that are actively researching, teaching, diagnosing, treating and supporting people affected by breast cancer.

Pink Tribute was established in 2003 as a way to heighten awareness and funding of breast cancer in Denmark. While living in Denmark, two Americans -- Valerie G. Brandt and Elizabeth Asbury – saw their families being touched by breast cancer and resolved to do something to help combat the disease. Together with Danish author, Birgitte Krejsager, they organized the first Pink Tribute in 2003. It was a Luncheon & Fashion Show held at Rydhave, the residence of the American Ambassador. At that time, Wilma Bernstein, the wife of Ambassador Stuart Bernstein, was the hostess.

Since 2003, we have held held annual Pink Tribute luncheons to continue the ongoing support of breast cancer related causes.  The baton has since been passed onto new members, but we proudly continue the tradition and hope to count on our past and future supporters.
